I’m 33+3 and would say you could start now so there is no pressure to rush it later. I started around 30 weeks. Nearly done now, just adding the last bits. There’s no harm in having it ready in case baby comes early too. Last thing you’ll need is you/your birthing partner rushing around trying to get bits together
35 weeks i started it took a couple of weeks to get everything left on the list. I knew someone who went into labour at 35 weeks which made me realise I needed something in case.
I’m 29 weeks, we’re going shopping next week to buy things for my hospital bag and I will probably start packing it around 34 weeks! I don’t want to leave it any later and be rushing around! X
Did mine at 28 weeks as my first born came at 30 weeks 🙈 can never be too prepared ahah
I’m 26+4 and i’m in the middle of ordering and preparing to pack my hospital bag. I don’t think it’s ever really tooo early just what you feel is best. I like to plan and feel prepared to help the anxiety around birth so i’d rather it be packed very early and sat there than i go into labour early and have nothing ready. xx
I’m 29 weeks and I’m going to start over the next couple of weeks because if something did happen, my boyfriend would have no idea what to pack x
36 weeks
I’m 26 weeks and already packed mine just in case. I’d rather be prepared then something happen and not be ready 😊 xx
My first son was also a February baby and I packed my hospital bag just before Christmas because we were staying with family further away from the hospital. I will likely do the same again this time for the same reason, just in case. I think this was a more basic bag though and I added more stuff in closer to the birth. I also found that some of the things I wanted to take I did still need in the later stages of birth like certain clothes so I just made sure these were washed and ready in the last couple of weeks.
@Becca good point! My boyfriend wouldn’t have a clue 😂x
@Kelsey yeah my thoughts exactly, think I’m gonna start next week xx
I’m 28 weeks and I’ve already started mine just got a nightie, muslins and a welcome to the world sign lol I’m planning to add bits in weekly and have it ready by 32/34 weeks x
I've shared my story here before, but basically my bosses wife had her baby at 35 weeks while I was maybe 21 weeks pregnant. They weren't packed and had a real rush on trying to get sorted and to the hospital. It got me motivated so I was packed up for myself at 25 weeks. Turned out I had PPROM at 30 weeks and baby was born within hours of me going to the hospital. Never been so glad in my life that the bag was packed and ready to go.
Um, it's probably like 36-38 weeks. My son was way too comfy in there he wasn't coming early at all.
