Please share your nap routines! ☺️

I’m sure this has been written before but I’d love to see some of your current nap routines… that work to help your littles have better sleep! 🥲 There’s nothing I haven’t tried at this point and my little boy just doesn’t sleep through the night, rarely anyway, we often have multiple wake ups with a 5.45-6am wake up. I’m back to work absolutely exhausted, with a 7.30am start with long days 3x a week and he has started nursery too (he attends the same nursery as me) I was following 30mins AM nap and 2hr (aim) lunch nap with 4 and a bit hours awake before bed but I can’t do this anymore with maternity now finished and him being at nursery! We have a solid bedtime routine of bath, bottle, story, cuddles and a song and then bed and this has never changed since he was very little. Thanks in advance 💙☺️ x

What time would you like him to wake up? We have first nap 3-3.5 hours after morning wake for 1-1.5 hours, then another 3.5 hours, another hour nap then 4 hours before bed time. Wakes once or twice usually but not for too long

@CeeCee I’m happy with 6.30! But we never make it there 😭🤣, before 6 is just hard as I’ve got to get myself ready for work etc but can’t do that easily when he wakes early. See we do have about 3hr first ww, then probably another 3-3.5 and then a 4+ in the evening and right now he’s doing about 1.25-1.5 hours in the AM and about 1-1.25 in the PM so the same as you! Sometimes it’s okay with 1-2 wakes, others it’s longer or he’s up for hours sometimes in the night which is brutal 😅, doesn’t settle well next to me either so it’s not even like co-sleeping works well for us! As I’m happy to do that but have to manically rock him for ages whilst laying down lol 🥲 x

Awh its a nightmare isnt it, was going to ask he would do that last hour in bed with you to get to 6.30 but I see now you need to get ready! How long have you been back, the wake ups could be a bit of separation anxiety if thats changed recently? Hopefully improves soon its exhausting. Maybe you are like me, I didnt know that all babies didnt sleep all night by the time mat leave ends 🤡

We had this and capped naps to 2 hours over both and it seemed to solve the problem. Might not work for you guys but thought I’d share x

Nap: "0"

@Nyada Amirah Boima what your little has no naps during the day at all?! Mine could never 😂, they need naps still when they are this young x

My lo has started to nap at 5pm and then she stays up till 11 😱😱😱

And it's been a long time since I gave up on the dream of sleeping through the night 😅

My little one naps 10-11am and 2-3pm. I wake him after 1 hour. I feel bad for waking him up but i’ve found that letting him sleep longer will only affect his sleep at night. I take him up at least 30 mins before his nap so he can wind-down before he then falls asleep.

@Rovena thanks! Yeah I used to wake my little after 30 mins and it was awful, but I wake him from naps the majority of the time now when I’m at home with him too, sometimes he’s so hard to wake and I literally feel horrible 😭😂, I’d love to sleep as soundly as they do 🤣 x

@Evah I couldn’t handle this at all haha, I go to bed at 9.30!!! 😵 I did read that babies get their most restful sleep before midnight too, so that encourages me to get my bubba to bed between 7-8pm at the latest x

09:30-10:45 first nap, then back down at 2:00/2:15-3:30 latest. Bedtime routine starts at 6:30pm, often asleep by 7:15/7:30 xx
