Mix a teaspoon of fruit purée into it. It's like a healthier version of juice
When my little girl was first transitioning to water I used a straw cup and dipped the straw in yogurt to get her to suck. Did it once and it worked straight away. Sometimes giving water in baby bottles doesn’t always work because your little one will expect milk and then not want the water
At 10 months most of babies nutrition still comes from milk and they should definitly be having more than just 2 bottles a day. Theres no absolute need for them to have water at 10 months. Many only have sips with meals
At 10 months they still need their formula or breast milk more than twice a day. Small sips of water with a meal or snack is fine.
@Eve I haven’t tried tommee tipeee yet . She’s always been on mams. I was told by my health nurse to only give her a bottle at night and in the morning but I feel like something is wrong and I don’t want to make her sick of dehydrated
@Rebecca when do they need to get off bottles then?. My health nurse only told me 2 bottles . Night and morning
@Chloe I’m in the US and we start transitioning to cows milk or a non dairy option at 1 year old. It’s also when we introduce sippy cups or straws. But it can happen slowly to give babies time to adjust.
@Eve I will show this to her tomorrow!!. I knew something was so wrong with this woman. She calls my daughter obese and everything when she is NOT. She went crazy at me because she hat a rash on her bottom from teething . And now wants me to starve and dehydrate my baby. I have been giving her 7 ounces of milk in the morning with baby porridge and 5 ounces after lunch . And 5 ounces after dinner and then nighttime food at 8:00pm then a 7 ounce at 10:00pm and bed and she’s telling me I’m doing everything wrong 😢 I’m just doing what my daughter wants and what keeps her baby and healthy
@Rebecca my PHN told me to give her a sippy cup at 6 months . My daughter is 10 months and still barley knows how to work with it . There’s no straw in it and she chokes everytime she tries to drink from it and my PHN keeps telling me to force it down her throat. I’m in the Republic of Ireland and everything (FIONA MCKEON) is saying is bullshit I think
Why is she only meant to be having milk morning and night? Hydrated milk/water is better than not. My daughter drank water out of the Tommee Tippee sippy cups- have you tried them?
