Just wondering if queen elizabeth your partner can stay not just during labour but before and after? especially during inductions I am picking between QEUH and RAH and I had a bad experience with RAH triage a couple times which has put me off. I also am aware visiting hours are RAH are 10-10 and I just cant fathom not having my partner with me. I am really hoping the queen Elizabeth allows you too😬😬

Yes, my husband was there the whole time. We had a great experience at QEUH, I would recommend x

I just had my baby there, my husband was with me basically 24/7. They have a "person focused visiting" system which means birthing partners are allowed to come and go at all times, although they have to sleep in a chair which was very unpleasant for my husband. In post natal they were a bit confused why he was there but antenatal, labour, recovery etc were great with him. Partners aren't generally provided with food on wards either so keep that in mind too. Although in antenatal there's a room with a microwave and hot water that can be used by yourself and/or partners. I definitely recommend having your baby there, I never felt like they would send him away and the staff are all great. My baby is still receiving care there so I feel like I practically live there these days 😂

We got told off for accidentally getting a second meal from the cart for my husband - we didn't realise food was only for Mums 😂 There is an M&S shop in the main building if your partner wants to grab food - it's also a good little walk to have while you're labouring x

@Elizabeth Yeah I can second that the main building has a lot of food options, there's a cafeteria upstairs as well that we only just noticed yesterday 😆

I'm in exactly the same position... so happy to have read your post and see these responses. I'm due next week and just been let down by the vale for having no birthing pool. And I had an awful experience last time with the RAH, I have been told there's apparently been a lot of changes recently been made there but I think once you have an experience, it's hard to shift
