Baby suffering with a cold

When I lay her down she sounds completely full of it and it’s stopping her sleeping. I’ve tried a nasal aspirator but she’s having absolutely none of that, I have a Calpol plug-in next to her cot. Does anybody have other suggestions that might be able to help please? Thank you!!

Have you tried nasal sprays? I do that to help decongest him, also I bought snuffle baby vapour rub, which I rub on my LB chest and back and just rub the remnants onto his nose. I also put the snuffle baby vapour oil into his humidifier. I don’t know if 100% this all works but it definitely makes him a little more comfortable! Hope your LG feels better x

Thanks so much, going to have a look at those bits now. Anything is worth a try to make her feel more comfortable ❤️ xx

When mine had a cold I sat in the bathroom with her and ran a hot shower and the steam seemed to help. I just put her in a vest so she didn't get too warm, but it definitely helped x

I use Calpol nasal spray, snuffle bub and the Calpol room vapour things. I will also give her some Calpol or neurofen if I think she is having a tough time with it

Ohh I feel you my daughter has had a cold for over a week now. The nights are a nightmare. We are using snuffle chest rub, Freda snot sucker, sterimar nasal spray, olbas oil in humidifier. I also have elevated her cot mattress slightly . But despite all of this the nights are still hard. She gets very congested and has a hard time falling asleep . When things get really bad I give calpol . She is also teething badly and has a nappy rash . 🙈😵‍💫😢

We've just had an awful cold and we used Snuffle Babe Saline Nasal spray, and baby olbas oil on a tissue in the room 😊 We also used the snufflebabe oil which you put in a bowl of warm water, which did help but I feel the baby olbas oil was slightly stronger and worked better in the air x

Nasal spray, snuffle vapour rub, hot steamy bathroom , calpol plug in, vapour oil, calpol or nurofen to help ease the discomfort. Olbas oil is also good.
