I am currently on UK SMP pay which of course isn't a lot, I've for some reason always received slightly higher then this (work said it's normal) but just got my payslip for this month and it's higher by a extra £200ish) and I honestly don't know if I should be quiet about it, but then have the risk of it hurting me in the future or emailing to confirm with payroll about the rise in payment. Wwyd?

It doesnt hurt to confirm! I had an additional 900 on my check once and emailed, turns out they decided to pay out my leave.
@Noon as in, that 900 was the last of it all in one go? X

If your work said its normal, they might be giving you an enhanced maternity pay? It can't hurt to email and check. If it is an enhanced pay there might be conditions on paying it back if you leave the job etc so I'd say it's best to confirm if it's an enhanced pay or just smp
