Toddler awake at night reading
My husband walked in to our 21month old daughter's room tonight and saw her sitting in the cot and reading a book. My daughter saw him, but didn't acknowledged him and he walked straight out. Unfortunately, we forgot the baby monitor in her room, so we can't see what she's doing. We don't want to go in the room and disturb her, but I'm a little worried. Has this happened to anyone else?

You are worried that you came across your child quietly enjoying a book? I don't understand what you're worried about?
I wouldn't worry if she's happy. I caught mine on the monitor climbing up to reach one of her teddies, sometime she goes to bed with a book aswel they are funny at this age.
@Helen I was worried because she didn't acknowledge her dad when she saw him in the room

If she’s happy and quiet, not got anything she can hurt herself with then I’d let her crack on. Honestly my daughter is going through a phase of screaming all night and needing us to sit with her so I’d take quietly reading a book any day over this 😂
