Definitely get in touch with your gp and donât worry about social services! I have been under my local mental health team since before I got pregnant and recently a referral was put in to childrenâs services because I made a comment about being suicidal. They called me and just asked about what support I was receiving and asking how they can help more. Donât suffer, there is help available â¤ď¸
Get support from your GP. Social services aren't likely to get involved but if they did I would imagine at most it would be early intervention which is support for you. Are you able to take time out? Self care is important to help you be the best version of you. Whether that's having a bath with a good book, going to the gym or a night with your friends xx
In addition to seeing the GP, something you could start today would be a short beginners yoga video on youtube (yoga with Adriene and yoga with kassandra are very popular) - this would help to release tension in the body and mind and give you some space to connect with you (and your breathing). Also perhaps ask yourself, what needs of mine are not being met? Maybe youâll have an answer maybe you wonât. This might include physical needs like food etc but also physiological needs like feeling safe, comfortable, connected to people. Hope that helps.

I would definitely start with your GP. They can give you the best options and contacts for support networks in your area. Please don't let the fear of social services stop you from asking for help. They wouldn't get social services involved unless it was absolutely essential. No one would ever question your capabilities as a parent for asking for helpđ If you want to someone to chat to, feel free to drop me a message x
