Anyone else struggle to get their babies to sleep in the next to me/their beds?

My son is almost 4 weeks and I always try and put him in his bed when he first goes to sleep but the most he’s ever done is 45 minutes before he wakes up crying. We then co sleep as I just want the sleep. I’ve tried getting him back to sleep in the cot but nothing works or it’s hard work. I just don’t get why he struggles when he will happily sleep 2+ hours in the day in his purflo/doc a tot thing.

Try heating the next to me with a hot water bottle before and also try popping a T-shirt of yours over the mattress so it smells of you! These tricks helped me. X

I 2nd Chelsea’s advice! my little one is the same but we have recently discovered having pink noise on continuously helps him to stay asleep also, the minute it’s is turned off he starts to fuss and wakes himself up x

I’m not sure what a purflo/doc a tot thing is but, out LO didn’t like his next to me fit but slept in his moses basket just fine so, we started bringing the Moses basket up each night and he slept in it fine at night. We’ve since bought a second Moses basket in the same so we have one upstairs already and don’t have to keep moving the one up and down. Sometimes a next to me cot can feel really big to them and maybe something smaller like a basket helps

I literally don’t even try to put my baby in her next to me anymore and just cosleep. She usually sleeps from 9pm until 3/4am so I’d much rather the sleep 😂. My LO does however sleep in her Moses basket downstairs so may be the fact that the next to me is still a little big?

My baby has been like this and we got a white noise machine which seems to have worked so far !

We put our Moses inside the next to me and he seems to like that at night x

Our little girl was like this initially, we put the Moses basket in the next to me as others suggested, warmed the mattress with a water bottle, waited 20 mins til deep sleep and also used the love to dream and white noise. Put their bum down first on transfer and slowly lower their head, keeping one hand on their chest. Then if all else fails, I just brought her in with me lol, less stress that way!
