Dental work during postpartum

Has anyone had dental work done during the postpartum stage? I'm pretty sure I'm going to need teeth removed and some root canals. But I'm aiming for a full set of dentures. But I also don't want to miss work so I'm trying to see how long it takes to heal and how long I should be out of work for it.

I just had a root canal treatment last week. Am about to get my permanent crown next week The treatment was quick, about an hour but they told me it might be two I barely had any pain, only if I accidentally ended up biting with this tooth but that went away quickly and after two days, nothing anymore But they did the root canal treatment with a laser, which is barely noticeable. Not sure if everyone does it like this

@Eileen okay thanks. I'm pretty sure at this point they will recommend I go with dentures because all my teeth are broken. I just want to feel confident again with my smile.

Getting your teeth done is also important health wise If you’re breastfeeding make sure to ask if any narcotics used are good with it

I had a tooth pulled in the past and I had a root canal a few months post partum. The root canal recovery was sooooo much better than pulling the tooth. I was pretty much back to normal the next day and I was also able to eat as normal the same day. When I had one pulled I could barely eat and was in so much pain for over a week.

Extraction is more invasive than a root canal. Once you extract the tooth, there’s no going back. The healing is much more longer for extraction. For a root canal, you just need anti-inflammatories like Advil for a day or two not even.
