I think you know deep down if you'd regret it or not. Breastfeeding is the best thing for them but so is a healthy mum who is feeling good about herself to be the best mum she can be so you need to do what feels right for you at this time. You've breastfed for 6 months which is amazing already, I'll be there next month and see where this BF journey takes me :)
I personally am in no rush to stop my breastfeeding journey. The bond I have with my son and the ability to provide him with his best start has been so rewarding. But I also know plenty of women who stop at 6 months or a year… or who don’t breast feed at all who are just as content! I think it’s really important that you ask a simple question: will you be a happier mom because you stop breastfeeding? Your child deserves the best version of YOU (mentally & emotionally). So will you be happier because you stop? Will it let you begin a journey of self love that makes you a better mom? Focus on that - and make the decision that’s best for you and your little one 🖤
My little girl is 15 months and we still exclusively breastfeed, I need to lose weight but she isn’t going to breastfeed forever, the way I see it is I can lose weight once she doesn’t need/want my milk anymore 🤷🏼♀️ x
You can still lose weight whilst breastfeeding. Just be in a calorie deficit ? I been doing it since my son was 3 months and now he is 8months and still having breast milk
Just do what you feel is right for you. I planned to only feed until 9 months, we are now almost 15 months. I will stop now when he would like to
