Pregnant again

Hey guys, I’ve just found out that I’m pregnant again 7 months pp, kinda worried because I had a c section with my first baby 7 months ago and how this will affect my pregnancy and birth? I’d love to have a natural birth this time 🥹 does anyone have any advice on these things?

Normally when you have a c section they tell you any further kids to be born via section because of the surgery and scaring hence normally the 2 years wait x

May I ask what reason was for a c section? My obgyn and the doctor who did the c section said depending on the reason will determine if you’ll need one again. My son decided to turn 2 weeks before he was due and because of it we needed a c section. Find the right obgyn who hears your wants cause there are always the chance you can have a natural birth as long as everything goes right ❤️ Also congrats!! 💕

I also just found out I’m pregnant two days ago and I also had a c section but 8 months ago. I’m pretty nervous too but tbh I’d just want to have another c section because I’m so scared of ripping 😭

So i got pregnant 3 months pp and it was a really rough pregnant from start to finish. I definitely believe it has to do with the fact that I didn’t have time to heal. My advice to you is just take it easy and don’t overwork yourself 💕

You don’t always have to have another c section just because you’ve had one. The way you give birth is entirely up to you, obviously if there was trauma there or if the births are extremely close together they can advise you to have another section due to the risk of the scar rupturing but definitely don’t rule out a vaginal birth until you speak with a medical professional. I got pregnant 9 months pp and was offered a vbac but I didn’t want one. My pregnancy was perfectly fine, no issues, no extra monitoring and not high risk.

Thank you all so much! I had a c section with my little boy because I was induced and it didn’t progress until last minute, his heart rate was dropping and I was dilating so had to be rushed down to surgery but it all went amazingly and had no complications during the procedure or after thankfully! I really want to try a natural birth this time I’m just so worried about my scar that’s the only concern I have!xx

I would just raise the question when you have your antenatal appointment 🙂

Between my girls there’s 13.5 months, my oldest was 6 months when I was pregnant & after emergency section I wanted to try again and go natural & consultant said that was fine to try but ended in emergency again and both of them purely because my body couldn’t progress past 8cm 😢. I think it depends on your scar and how your previous section went on whether they’d be happy to let you try again (that’s what mine went off anyways but you’re still classed as high risk regardless purely because you’ve had a previous section). If you have any questions feel free to message me :) xx

Honestly don't worry about the timing. I waited past the recommended time to have my 2nd and by time I got to 26 weeks I was informed I needed to have a c section. At the time I was absolutely gutted because I wanted to experience going naturally once and it was taken away from me but honestly I learned to accept it is what it is and my birth with her was super calm and it's such an amazing memory compared to my emergency c section which I was in full labour and pushing. Good luck with your pregnancy and no matter what your birthing story becomes just try your best to accept and soak in every moment of that memory
