Poop

Ok, so I had to take my 3-year-old old son to the doctor this past week because he hadn't pooped for a week. The doctor pulled out a poop that was blocking everything else and had me run him to the toilet where he pooped quite a bit, but now that was Wednesday. He still won't poop. She said he was holding it, which is normal. So he's holding it. When is he going to stop holding it? I think there is something very wrong with him. She said, "Keep giving him miralax, stop milk, give him prune juice, etc. Doing all that and still. Won't. Go. He can't even sit right, and he's leaking poop so I have had to get back on pull-ups. Should i take him to the ER if this keeps on? He can't keep getting poop dug out of him. I'm at a complete loss.

I would just take him to the ER now.

This is gonna sound kind of gross but my son had this problem the first year of his life so we used glycerin suppositories to help him poop, one every couple of days to help him poop. You could also try apple juice, or cranberry juice.

Idk maybe ask him and see what he says. He could be traumatized and that’s why he won’t

A couple hours after I posted this, he went outside for exercise with his Grandpa and he fell down the slide on his face. He got to the bottom, stood up with a bloody lip and said, "I pooped!" So now he's scuffed up, but still pooping.
