I take them all the way through, and finish them post-partum if I have some left to help with breastfeeding (not that it will increase milk or anything but just to make sure I'm having all the good vitamins at such a vital time) then change to a normal multivitamin. I'm someone who always takes a multivitamin in my life anyway so that's just how I like it, not how it has to be. I would say though Pregnacare are mega expensive, I just take ASDA home brand pregnancy multivitamin, much cheaper
I took a pregnancy vitamin throughout my first pregnancy but this time I've actually decided to stop after trimester one and go back to my usual vitamins that I take as I prefer to take individual supplements I need rather than a multivitamin. I did double check the NHS website to be sure I was ok to stop them x
If your taking extra folic acid on top that can usually finish after 12 week scan although they do ask some to stay on longer, as for the big multivitamin it’s good to take it the whole way through, baby will begin to take your vitamins and nutrients so having extra is good! Also your body will be making / maintaining nearly double the amount of blood so you will need the extra for that too 🙂
You can take them all the way through pregnancy. They will help throughout the pregnancy giving you vitamins that you and your baby need. But obviously if you don’t want to take them you don’t have to as long as you have a healthy diverse diet. This is my second pregnancy and I took them all the way through last time and will do this time. Hope this helped ❤️
