When our two boys were teething, I would put some teething rings in the freezer for a few minutes or let them chew on the frozen waffles or a washcloth. Children’s Tylenol and Motrin were a godsend for me. Every baby is different in terms of how long it lasts but maybe he has more than 1 tooth coming in. Our youngest had 4 teeth coming at once and it was rough for a few days
Pure vanilla has alcohol tho? Am I wrong?
Thank you both!
have you tried teething rings ? There’s a mesh “pacifier” food thing my cousin used to put strawberries and watermelon in the freezer and let her son suck on it ! It was a life saver with him
I also don’t use benzocaine or any oral gels for the exact reasons you stated. I do use Tylenol however and it really is god sent along with teething rings. I also let my baby chew on my finger because it used more pressure than her pacifier. Doing like little gum massages can help relieve pain as well!
The teething rings didn’t work for my boys, I used the dissolvable tablets and I would massage it into their gums, that was the only thing that worked for my boys - They also sell little mesh bags (kinda like popsicles, I forgot what they’re called) that you can put frozen fruit into for them to chew on a bit.
@Kelsie I have the plastic one with holes it that the same??
yes same concept !!
I used the Talbot teething tablets and my son has a teething banana
I used the teething tablets that dissolve and the numbing gel swabs and my 4 month old is doing good with it, I just make sure with the gel she isn’t due to eat an hour to two hours after I give it to her. I also have filled her paci with water and froze it. There is also teething oils to rub on the babies gums but my daughter didn’t like it.
Honestly I used the gel my child is fine. And I also used the homeopathic teething drops. Everything has a risk. Even walking outside. I think you just have to weigh out your options. My daughter teeth for 2 months then it got really bad for about two weeks. You can try a green onion to chew it could numb it. There is not much. Do what makes you comfortable and what help your baby.
