I went back at 16 weeks but mainly because earlier was over Xmas and we had a holiday. I went to a mum and baby exercise class first (sweaty mama) because it was all tailored for postnatal women and could take the baby with me
11 weeks for me. Eased into things. My body may have been able to go earlier. But Just adjusting to mom life was difficult. Trying to manage breastfeeding and naps and what not every couple of hours. Took me a bit to get into a groove and figure this little human out (first time mom).
Light Pilates from 8 weeks, back in the gym now at 10 weeks post cesarean just taking it really slow and not doing any form of abdominal exercises xx
As soon as you feel well enough post 6 weeks recovery you could start going and just doing light walking/ light eliptical etc, ease into some gentle squats. I’d say best to just listen to how your body feels and maybe get signed off or checked by doctor first!
They say 4/5 months after you can go back depending on how you're healing. From 6/8 weeks you can do light exercise like walking and lifting things (at home) heavier than baby (heavy hoover for example). I'm 5 months pp on Sunday & been suffering with post op issues only now 😅 all because I did "too much" after my c section
