Apparently it’s common for them to be constipated or hold it during this time. My 2 year old is the same and even though he’s done quite a few poos on the toilet he still gets upset when he needs to and has accidents. He is perfect with his wees on the toilets, so I think it just takes them a while longer with poos
Books about potty training and poos! Helps us loads
Our little man definitely held it for a good few days at first, then he started waiting until his nappy was on at night. We got him some prizes for poos in the toilet (different for every kid but we got a big pack of hot wheels and he got 1 for a toilet poo until they ran out). He literally pood on the toilet about 10 minutes after we showed him the prizes 😂
My LG withheld her poos at the beginning. She would either wait til bedtime when her nappy was on or just literally crap herself when it got too long. Apparently it was a phase it took about 2/3 weeks to get her out of it. Just went over the top wild when she finally did it. Was like a switch went off. Rest assure it's a phase and they will come out the other side :)
Ours got to day 4 and luckily he went. Lots of water - he might be constipated. Our 2 year old is tall so we go him a higher potty (pretend toilet £15 on Amazon) and I think he found it more comfortable. We made it fun too - pat his head, buy a book that references poo poo and also go to the toilet with him. Our son loved it when mummy sat on her potty 😂😂
