Primary school question!

Hi, My son is set to start school September 25. We’ve been to view schools near us and all of them were learning via screen so no whiteboards. All interactive learning. Is this just completely the norm now? Sorry if this sounds dumb but I left school over 10 years ago 😅 I can’t be the only one who thinks this is too much? The children were not using any devices but lessons were on the screen, videos etc

Most schools are this way now and to be honest my little boy is thriving, he's behind in where he should be but he's coming on leaps and bounds due to the help from having tablets and things on screens, it helps him understand so much better than just plain old pen and paper, it's colourful, interesting and a good way for the children of this generation to use tech for more than just watching YouTube videos and playing games

I would think most if not all schools… a lot of the teachers I know like to prepare teaching material with slide shows for example nowadays which is done after hours on the computer, as well as writing using the interactive pen thingy during lessons, wasting less paper. I left school over 10 years ago too but we had them in secondary education. I would imagine it keeps younger ones engaged and interested during lessons, they’re also never too close to the board.

Totally normal
