She will do it in her own time!! She will know when she’s ready. Mines 2 and a half, only went herself 2 weeks ago while we were on holiday! 😅
My daughter is 2 & half and still in nappies. She is not interested in her potty. She will take her nappy off, and pee on my floor 🫣 all kids are different. It’s about persistence. Good luck.
My 2 and a half little girl still isn’t either. She’s done one wee on her travel potty a few months back, but nothing since. She wears knickers over her nappy everyday to get her used to them, and does pull her bottom half off to sit on the potty regularly but I’m letting her set the pace and wait for her to do more wees on the potty before we go without nappies. She sometimes is scared of it too, and insists on getting completely naked from waist down (socks too🤣) to sit on potty. I’m sure your little girl will get there in her own time too 🫶🏼
@Prableen can you not show her the toilet in your home and maybe she will use that instead??
@Rhiannon I do take her to the toilet in my house. I even got a 2 in 1 toilet seat installed so she can independently go toilet herself but she just cries when she sees the toilet 🤦🏾♀️
Mine isn’t either but she will do something in her nappy and then sit on the potty and ask for a wipe we’ve been training since June but I’m not going to force her x
Mine isn't either. She's slowly getting there but generally not super interested and I don't want to force it on her if she's not ready
We haven’t even tried with our son yet. He’s not quite ready
We trained at 22 mths and took a good few weeks to totally nail it. As everyone has said pick up the signs and also all kids are different. What I would say though is you shouldn’t confuse them. Yes own pace but equally they need clear direction. I never understand nappies sometimes and pants others, or pants over nappies. You are either teaching them to not wet themselves or you aren’t. Don’t confuse them with what’s ok to suit you. We started on a Saturday and from day 1 only did nappies for lunchtime nap and bedtime. Nappies gone. None of this wishy washy potty training approach- kids love routine and clear direction. We bought a mini toilet which was a hit!!! And a travel potty for going out. We have bought a couple of potties trial and error and now he loves his toilet - maybe buy a different one. £15 Amazon Dedicate the time (potty books, stickers, fun pants) and you will be fine :)
My LB is starting to show signs of potty training pulling down is pants and sitting on the potty so saying to the main toilet wee wee I think we may start soon
No haven’t committed to trying with our son. He’s got a potty he’ll sit on it naked then ask for a nappy so he can do a wee 😕 I just don’t think he’s ready. Plus we’re due another baby next week so waiting for adjustment to settle. I think he’s nearly there he’s now asking for his nappy to be changed when he does big wee or poo. I Hope to try in Easter holidays or feb half term were well just get rid of nappies in the day and just use them for sleeping.
Mine turned 3 in september....its been a struggle. He just isnt interested
Mine kicks off if I even mention the word potty 🤣 we’re not ready 🤣
My boy isn’t ready. As long as he’s done by 3 I’m happy. Some just don’t get it as quick. I’ve also got a 7 week old so not putting pressure on us as we’re adjusting to that
Yes my daughter. She pee's in the toilet perfectly fine at nursery but won't even touch the potty here at home 🤦🏾♀️
