Idk , my son is 3.5 and just finished potty training. Starting to early can actually lead to more accidents and less self confidence when it is time. All boys are 18-24m rip their diapers off, it’s just a thing toddler boys do. My son constantly followed me into the bathroom too, but definitely was not ready for potty training yet at that age. We tried at 18m , 24m , 30m 36m and finally around 40ish months is when he said mommy me pee potty, or mommy me pee. They need to have enough awareness of their body movements to know when to go to the washroom for it to be successful.
Once my baby is a bit older I’m going to start to show him how to use the potty, in my personal opinion starting young is better, when you do it just make it into something fun! And there’s always going to be accidents, it happens it’s a new learning curve just make sure you remind him it’s okay! don’t get upset when it happens just talk him through it. Definitely easier said than done but I definitely would give it a shot! It’s time consuming, it’s going to take a little bit to get it fully down but starting early will help with him being comfortable and consistent!
Not too early at all! My son was fully trained during the day by 2 and night by 2.5. I suggest getting a little urinal as it was really hard to successfully teach how to hold his penis down without making a mess.
Many other countries potty train around 18 months, so it’s pretty normal! If he’s showing signs, go for it
Sounds like my son when we started at 17.5 months. Highly suggest the Oh Crap method. We did a 3-day weekend test run to gauge his interest/if he was ready and just kept following his lead. Just remember that starting early can take longer but it's so worth it in my opinion!
