Baby led weaning

Is anyone else terrified of baby led weaning?? It was always something I wanted to do when I was pregnant but now I’m here I’m so scared of her choking. I just gave her a bit of my crumpet and she loved it but it was breaking up as she was squeezing and chewing it. I took it away and she started crying (obviously 😂) as she was enjoying it 🥲

I’m literally stuck and not sure where to start. I’m only offering purées at the minute . He loved purées when he was around five months and how all of a sudden he hates it and cries when given to him😂😭😭

@Justina aww no! I give my girl porridge in the morning and baby rice in the evening mixed with a bit of veggie puree but I’m just scared to give her actual solid food 🙃 I probably just need to chill but it’s so nerve racking!

I know the feeling ❤️ as long as they are soft foods and cut in non chokable sizes, you will be absolutely fine ❤️ Just keep a close eye on her 😊 cut up some vegetables and soft boil them, things like broccoli are also really really good ❤️ I think a crumpet is fine as long as it's soft ❤️ xoxo

I BLW and it is scary don’t get me wrong, but I have my first aid, and I highly recommend getting one also❤️BLW was the best thing I’ve done for my baby, I strictly BLW and the only pureed food my boy has is things we eat pureed like mash, yoghurt etc x

Same, my girl almost 7 months now but I still give him purees I sometimes made her fresh veggies purees, I'm still scared of the idea she get chocking on her food and I don't have a clue to do the first aid for that
