Potty training

So we got our daughter a potty on Friday and she’s taken so well to it and so far we haven’t had any accidents and have had 20+ pees on it but no poops so far. She will ask for me to take her nappy off so she can sit on it and gets so excited when she’s done something and will happily show me. At what point do I buy underwear for her and how do I go around about going out and about. I also can’t believe how well she’s taken to it and she’s turning 2 on Sunday😢

That’s amazing! I started potty training my daughter at the start of this year and she does so well then reverted right back so we’ve backed off. I’m on maternity leave next month so going to do it then when I can actually focus fully on it. We’ve bought some potty training pants on preparation, they look like normal pants but they have a lining so can hold some urine. We’ll use those first then onto normal pants. If your daughter is having dry nappies then I’d say you could get pants for her now if you feel comfortable doing so! If going out and about it’s upto you if you have her wear a nappy or not. If not you’ll need to make sure you have a couple of extra clothing sets with you x

@Samantha where did u purchase the underwear with a little extra padding as she is having wet nappies still but no way near as much as what she has been having. I’m so proud of her for picking it up so fast but she doesn’t talk which is a little harder for her to communicate when she needs to go so it’s currently just pot and parcel x

@Shona I think of shein or Temu but you can get them off Amazon etc too. Think I just put in potty training pants. You should be proud, sounds like she’s doing great! I’d maybe wait until she’s having dry nappies before moving to pants, saves yourself some changing/washing etc. The pants can be used then just incase accidents as there’s always going to be x
