I'd say you're right about there. I've heard 1y and/or 6-8 teeth in.
@Megane @Nichole thank yu ladies!
My dentist doesn’t take kids till they are 2 so I’m waiting till she is 2 .
Our first appointment is next week, he has 4 on top and 2 on bottom and refuses to brush his teeth, it is a scream fest flopping all around and takes myself and his dad to tag team it to just get 30 seconds in … headed in to the dentist next week to get a small cleaning in and learn some tips and tricks
@Brooke you can actually take them to a pediatrician dentist (:
I was scheduled to go anyway roughly around when my daughter turned a year. They suggested I just bring her with me since she had about 4/5 teeth at the time. they just checked her teeth out real quick then moved on to me. (My husband came too so he could take her after) maybe call to ask if that’s an option for you if you’re scheduled to go soon anyway!
I’m a dental hygienist and I don’t recommend taking your child until they are 3 years old. The official recommendation is after they get their first tooth, but that’s ridiculous to be honest. Unless you have a concern, you can wait til 3. Younger than that they aren’t old enough to corporate and they are more likely to have a bad experience.
General Dentist here! You should take them at 1 years old. You’re not too late.. make your appt asap. I would recommend seeing a pediatric dentist, so that they’re in a more “kid-friendly” environment.
@Sandy thank you 🙏☺️☺️☺️
You can start as early as 6 months taking babies to the dentist 🦷
My son is 15 months and I just decided to take him next months. Just to make sure everything is fine ☺️
