Gym, at home, idk what to do

Hi ladies! I'm having a really hard time figuring out when and where to workout. We started going to the YMCA a few months ago and I was so happy because my husband and I were so consistent with the gym because of the daycare aspect. My son is 2, turning 3 in march. At first it took a long time for my son and I to adjust; I was a worried mess and my son would cry and scream at the top of his lungs. But after a long time he finally settled. But then we got sick and had to stop going for like 2 weeks. And then we basically had to start over with the adjustment. It's so frustrating because we had gotten to a point where he would ask to go and was happy to go. But now, unless they're outside in the playground area, he will immediately say no, no let's go home. And that he doesn't want to stay. Like do we just force him to adjust all over again or try home workouts? Or a different gym that has daycare? I had never been that consistent until having daycare at the gym and it was so nice that my husband and I could knock our workouts out together. (We used to switch, every other day the other stays home to watch our son while the other goes to workout for an hour) so yeah, idk if a different gym with daycare might be more fun or something for my son, or if I should find a way to exercise at home? My son typically doesn't let me workout more than like 10 minutes. Idk what to do, I really need the exercise for my health because I have type 2 diabetes I've managed to bring my A1C down to pre diabetes level by eating better and exercise. So yeah, thank you ladies in advance

I’d say keep going to the gym! Your son will adjust again, unless you think his sensitivity is due to the type of daycare he’s at. Your son is going to have adjustments like this is school. This is a great time for you and hubby to workout without baby. Your son will adjust. Keep at it. Props to you!

@Court we tried again today but my son was just not having it 😞 full blown meltdown, and usually the lady who's there would help try to distract him but now there's someone different and he doesn't try to help at all. I think we will be trying a different gym with daycare before calling it quits on the gym 😮‍💨

It's so frustrating !! My son ia the same is he 3 and still refuse to go, I personally don’t love working out at home but now with my husband we switch I go then he will go. I hope it get better for you mama

@Calvine same! I don't really like working out at the house because our place is small and it's just so much easier with all the equipment and stuff at the gym and feels nice to get out of the house 😞 thank you so much mama🩷

Also, as a trainer, I previously lived at the gym. I've had to accept that not all my workouts need to be there. So, if the gym is unavailable, I'll do a home workout, like dance or Pilates. Definitely more hybrid workouts. Because something is better than nothing.💜

I don’t know if you have TikTok, but I always research pregnancy workout videos or postpartum workouts I’ve been doing them for a month
