I’m gonna be honest I brush her teeth before her last bottle, and I did think of changing it out, however!*we listen we don’t judge * 😂 I also do it because they’re her baby teeth, they’re going to fall out. By the time they fall out, she’ll be big enough to know when to brush her teeth, and also, she won’t be drinking a bottle anymore so I’m not stressing
i think it’s recommended to brush with just water under 18 months. definitely brush after the bottle, i’ve never heard the think about having to wait to brush though. i’d just start brushing after her bottle
It’s best to brush after but if you can’t then they should have a drink of water to wash away the milk from sitting in teeth. X
I’ve never been told to wait 30 minutes by my LOs dentist. Just brush after bottle or milk in any cup. Night time is most important for brushing and morning should be added by the time all of their teeth come in.
The technical recommendation is to give the bottle, and 30 minutes later brush teeth and go to bed. Maybe try rearranging your nighttime routine and starting with the bottle, then do pajamas etc, brush teeth and go to sleep. In the long run this will help with eliminating bottles altogether since they won’t need it to fall asleep anymore. BUT, do what works for you!! If you get a good brushing in the morning and sometime in the evening after dinner, I think that’s good enough. Maybe a drink of water after the bottle is finished to rinse the mouth like an earlier comment suggested.
My son drinks some milk. We read some books and then I brush his teeth and he lays down for bed.
We always brush straight after bottle, if you want better advice ask your dentist which is best.
Morning after breakfast and I brush teeth then bottle at night as it’s part of his routine. I see it as there is no difference to brushing your teeth in the morning and eating food and drinking whatever throughout the day… I don’t know why people get so caught up with drinking milk at night 🫣. Do what works for you x
My baby's bottle is a firm part of her routine so we actually brush her teeth before she has it 😳 I definitely wouldn't be waiting half an hour though.
