Teething

Has anyone else found their babies are teething from such a young age? My baby is 6 weeks old and it’s definitely his gums that are bothering him! He just manages to fall asleep then wakes up again crying with the pain it’s awful😩 Is there anything at all that we can give them to help or anything we can do?

@Anysah thank you I will definitely give this all a go☺️

My daughter began teething from just over 8wks & I was shook. I did just put dummies & chewy teething toys in the fridge so they were cooler for her. The older she got, I ended up putting them in the freezer instead. Unfortunately although she started teething really early, she didn't break a tooth till almost 8months old x

@Anysah what other things could I try? I’m willing to try anything, I wish there was something they could have at this young age to help them😩

@Kerry did this help? I really wish they made something for this young age to help them x

@Anysah I don’t think giving a 6 week old baby a carrot or apple to chew on is good advice 😂

That would be very early! I would talk to my midwife! Maybe there is something else going on such as muscle tension after birth, tongue tie or whatever What makes you think it is the jaw? Do you use a pacifier?

Yeah it absolutely did, it was tough especially starting so young, but Luke others say anything a little harder for them to chew on is good as pressure helps with their pain x
