Dog peeing in the house

My 3 year old cavapoo is still peeing indoors in the kitchen, in the exact same spot. But only when we have left the house. I'm definitely suspecting it's tied to the pregnancy... as we've been here in this house for a while. Anyone have any solutions? We've tried retraining him, and tried doing enzyme sprays etc.

Still struggling with this myself, what seems to help is when they do go to the toilet outside, reward them and make a big fuss. I think sometimes they forget their training but positive reinforcement will definitely help.

He could also have a slight bit of anxiety, as you say it’s only when you leave the house. My dog used to do the very same thing & it’s because she was anxious about us leaving. If you are pregnant he’s obviously protective of you & your little one so it makes sense that he’ll be anxious when you are leaving xx

Thank you, I think it's to do with his anxiety also actually and feeling protective. Just wish I could speak to him! Will continue with the positive training also

Our dog starting doing this as well as being more Clingy with me about 2 months pregnant but pooing in the same spot in the kitchen overnight despite being let out as usual. We wiped vinegar on the area as apparently they hate the smell and he hasn’t done it since.

Vinegar is a good tip!!! Thank you!!!
