Mines similar between these times but can be the opposite and all happy about 8pm as well depending on what sleep he's had in the day. 11 pm seems to be the time he likes to go to sleep but then can be really fussy before 11 but we've just said tonight even though we think he shouldn't be he is just hungry again and tired. He can be feeding for ages as well but sometimes think it's just a comfort thing so we have introduced a dummy although he's not massively keen on it. I find knowing what to do at bedtime hard and even knowing properly what bedtime is 🙈. Maybe she's overtired and is then struggling to settle? And she could pick up on if your feeling a little overwhelmed. Can someone else help you at this time so you aren't winding yourself up about it? Keep going, your doing great 😃😃 Have you managed to chat to anyone about your Postnatal depression? Xx
Could be reflux? Always worse in evenings due to build up throughout day. My son had it from around 6wk to 14wks but my daughter (3 wks) does same now from around 5ish to 10pm. We have to pace feed, alot of burping (even though she is ebf) walking around with her upright, swaddled etc. I would give your hv a call tomorrow, that's what they are there for and they will advise. 😀
‘The witching hour’ Ive heard fresh air and walks really help x
Super normal. Im afraid it can be frustrating but not much you can do other than ride it out. Atleast you know its going to be like they at roughly that time for a while so you can try mentally prepare for it.
My little boy does this, and then all of a sudden falls straight to sleep. I combi feed and usually last feed around 9/10pm before bed will be formula and sometimes he’ll scream and do the same as you say then I’ll offer breast and he’ll be on it for like a minute and then be totally relaxed. I’ve also found skin to skin has helped on a couple occasions. Usually if he doesn’t actually finish the bottle once I try these things or just wear him in his sling (basically anything close and comforting for him) he’ll then decide he’s hungry and try again and finish it. I’m a FTM to a 6 week old and in the process of working this out myself so may not work but fingers crossed! X
