@Lia I have thought about it but what’s putting me off is my firstborns breech presentation at birth which was only acknowledged while I was pushing so I’m a bit traumatized still
We are in very similar position and its been stressing me out. I am prepared to give birth alone if it comes to that. Only people who can look after my daughter are my mum & dad, but my sister is autistic and she's been struggling recently so there not 100% sure there going to be able to look after my daughter and my sister. I don't want to give birth alone , but my daughter comes first and she will have to stay with my partner if it comes to that. I've read stories before about women who gave birth alone just with the midwives and apparently the midwives were really extra supportive and they didn't feel alone xx
Im exactly the same. Luckily we were able to book a flight so my mom can come from Brazil and look after our 15 month old when I have my baby. I wish I could help you. Sorry. If my mom couldn’t come then my husband would stay with my baby girl at home unfortunately. I have trust issues and can’t leave her with friends or neighbours even though they are lovely!
@Lizzy Jade that’s really reassuring to hear! The only people who can look after my daughter are my partner and I 😅 I just don’t trust anyone enough to leave her with them. I can’t help it. I am planning to labor at home for as long as possible and then head to hospital.
@Denise I’m pretty much the same when it comes to trusting people. No one ever looked after our daughter except us. I only left her with my sister for about an hour when I had to sort out her passport abroad and that’s about it. We are so used to being the only ones looking after her as we haven’t got anyone around. I’m happy for you and hope all goes well x
Could you do a home birth?
