@Jane Bernard sorry I don’t want it to help with my sickness I’m already on sickness medication. But I’ve heard Pregnacare can make sickness a lot worse - so I’m looking for an alternative for now ☺️
Hey I had the worst HG and I wasn’t able to take pregnant care , the capsule was way too big and could never keep it down. Spoke to my midwife about it and consultant and they gave me “ Healthy start folic + vitamin D tablet. It’s really small and was able to keep it down well. It’s free too so at your midwife appointment do ask for it. Hope that helps xx
@Emily oh I see. Makes sense, I stop pregnacare too. Got vitabiotics vitamin D
You could just get them separate and take them individually if that helps
@Yasmin thank you! I don’t think I’ll be able to get these as I’m not eligible for the healthy start scheme but I’ll mention it and see what they say x
@Emily you’re welcome. You don’t need to be on the scheme, I wasn’t and was able to get it at my 12 week scan, I was offered to try them and once I knew I was able to keep it down and I liked it, I then continued to ask for it at my midwife appointments xx
I just get the ones from Boots - it’s one small tablet you can get as a combo, purple bottle. You can get them separately and the bottles look the same which is annoying, so read carefully!
@Emily I don’t think I am eligible for the healthy start scheme but I mentioned I was not handling well my supplements and the midwife gave me the healthy start supplements :)
I’m not sure if I had HG but I did have awful morning sickness and couldn’t keep anything down, I had a look on Amazon and got some gummies that are a bit easier to swallow, pregnacare was far too big and I’d bring it straight back up
Had HG too, I don’t think folic acid/vitamin D will particularly help with the sickness. You may need an anti sickness medicine
