A doctor, a therapist
Health visitor or GP. I hope you can get the help you need. Sending hugs.
I self referred to our local Talking Therapies (if you Google Talking Therapies and your area a link should come up) just over a year ago when my eldest was 9 months. I was prioritised as I was postnatal and they’re still supporting me now. It’s been so helpful. Alternatively, you can reach out to your GP or HV and they can signpost you to support xx
There are a few options, health visitor and GP is your first point of contact. Depending where you live, you can do a self referral to most IAPT services. Being postpartum (in the first 12 months) means the waiting list is shorter and you’ll receive an assessment/ treatment quicker depending on what time of treatment you prefer. Online resources that you use on your own are the easiest to access, telephone therapy tends to have a short waiting list, whereas face to face can have several weeks/ months of waiting. Keeping in mind, where you live place a role in accessing the above.
I am so sorry you are going through this but proud of you for seeking help. As others have said your health visitor and GP are your first go to. I had the option of speaking with my GP's mental health practitioner. Hope you will feel a lot better soon ☺️
I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this but I would think a good point of contact would be your Health Visitor ❤️
