Pelvic Floor

Is anyone else struggling with pelvic floor muscles after birth? I’m over 3 weeks pp and feel like its just not strong enough down there to do the pelvic floor exercise, like its not benefiting me just yet. For reference I have a 2nd degree tear and i’ve had an episiotomy - is or has anyone else experienced this? Midwife didnt seem too concerned considering I was only a few week pp!

I had a baby 7 weeks ago and I feel the same I had a 2nd degree tear. This is my second but I feel like my pelvic floor is not strong enough down there to even do the exercises so I completely understand when I spoke to the doctor they said it can take up to 2 years xxx

I had an episiotomy and third degree tear and I can clench, but can’t hold it! I also feel like it’s not doing anything, but perseverance is key I guess😅

Omg yes I thought there was something wrong with me. Also had a second degree tear 2 and a half weeks post and I can barely do anything, it feels so weak when I try to do any exercises. Making it to the bathroom in time is an interesting challenge, one I've failed a couple of times

I did pelvic floors since the beginning of pregnancy - so grateful I did. Ended up with 4th degree tear and episiotomy. 9 days currently postpartum. Able to actually hold 10second long squeezes lying down, now doing them standing up. Honestly it takes time but it's possible. I did go through the private pelvic floor physio route 🫤
