@Jess thank you my community midwife is coming round today so I’ll mention it to her today. It’s just so uncomfortable and sore. How long did it take to sort itself out and did any of the pain relief help?
I had my baby 6 weeks ago and I still have numbness on my tummy … I heard that takes while to be back to normal but I know you feeling … it’s a horrible sensation
@Stela mines all in my lower back and bum 😩
I don’t remember numbness but definitely a lot of pain . Ibuprofen 800mg every 6 hours helps
@Jesse I’ve been taking paracetamol and the dihydrocodeine they prescribe I think it’s called
@Danielle it got better after 2/3 weeks for me, I was still taking ibuprofen/paracetamol and sometimes dihydrocodeine for the section pain anyway so that did help. Hope the midwife was helpful about it today!
I’d speak to your hospital about that as the anaesthetist team will probably want to keep an eye on that. I had a numb and sore lower back/bum on one side and an anaesthetist was calling me every couple of days to check in so they could make a decision on whether to scan me for nerve damage. Mine got better on its own so I didn’t need it but they say to look out for weakness in either leg and bladder/bowel incontinence issues or numbness in those areas.
