Potty training tips please!

So my husband is off work for 2 weeks over Xmas so we’re going to try potty training our boy. My LO knows when he needs a poo as he tells us to leave the room and he needs ‘2 minutes’ 😂. Any tips on how to tell him to go for a wee in the potty? Should we stay in for a few days and just keep his pants off? I don’t know where to start. Thanks in advance

Honestly, my boy has been potty trained since 23 months. I just put him straight into pants when I got him dressed and explained to him that when he needs a wee/poo he needs to go to the toilet. Remind every 30 mins if they haven’t been in that time. After a few days remind them after an hour if they haven’t been. You kind of get in to a bit of a routine by knowing when they need to go. Just make sure they go first thing in the morning, before and after nap and again before the bath. The rest will fall into place. Get a carry potty for when you venture out on day 2/3. Once you’ve started don’t stop it will be worse if you have to start all over again

@Phoebe thank you ☺️. I totally forgot about a carry potty. We’ll have to get one before we start. And plenty of change of clothes for when we start to venture out 😂

It’s good to stay home first 4-5 days of potty training and keep in mind how long they haven’t been before you get into a car
