@Roberta that makes me feel better thank you! Is your baby breast or formula fed? With breastfeeding I have no idea how much she is drinking so its tricky to make sure she’s drinking enough during the day x
i wouldn’t bother waking personally. 8-12 is just a rough guidance but naturally every baby is different. i also EBF and just feed on demand, if they’re asleep i just wait until they’re wake themselves up and displays hunger cues. babys brain develops a lot during sleep, so leave them to snooze away, and as long as she continues to gain weight, you’re all good! 🤍 xxx
I EBF and feed to demand and don’t wake him up. He is 7.5 weeks and also growing nicely on 25th percentile x
I cap naps at 2 hours to ensure he gets as many feeds in the day as he can and doesn't need so much at night and to help with sleep consolidation. I don't wake at night.
@Abi mine is combination feed so I also don’t know all the amount he gets. ☺️
I dont wake my daughter up. She sleeps 11pm till 7am, then goes back to sleep until 10ish. So she has 2 feeds in 11 hours. She’s putting on weight nicely and has wet and dirty nappies so I’m not concerned. She feeds every 3 hours during the day, so probably has 6 feeds in 24 hours x
No, your baby will let you know when they’re hungry!! No need to be waking them up
I don’t wake my little boy up. He normally has two os three short nap and a long nap during the day. And I try to guarantee a big feed before night time.
