Weight Loss

I recently had a baby and I have a wedding in May of next year. I’m feeling very stressed about losing enough weight to feel good about myself(30-40lbs). I know what has worked for me in the past but I’m afraid it may compromise my milk supply. Does anyone have any programs or tips to lose weight but still keep a sufficient milk supply.

Everybody is different. Don't lose it too fast. It took you 10 months to gain the weight. It should take you 10 months to lose the weight and not affect your milk. Sounds like you won't have enough time. Just be happy with your body where it's at

As above, you can’t go into a calorie defect without risking your milk supply because your body really needs the calories. If you eat well and exercise you are going to loose the weight again. I’m still EBF and little one is almost 13 months, I’m back at pre-pregnancy weight and still loosing weight. I haven’t been able to exercise much either due to my body really not recovering well from being pregnant so it probably could have dropped off quicker. It’s really tough but your body has changed a lot and it needs time to do so again.

I made the mistake of not eating or drinking enough (3 meals and 3 snacks 2500 calories and 3L of water) everyday and at 3 months pp when the "newborn" boobs are over I had no milk left. I wish I had known. I'm now 5 moths pp
