As much as a pain as it is at night have you tried a bath. Baths are always soothing. I also noticed when my daughter was younger, she is 19 months now, she hated white noise and preferred brown noise
@Kristen Hey mama! Not really advice, just wanted to say I had my baby girl via section on 12/6 and the past few days she’s been a lot more fussy and trying all the stops as you said hasn’t worked. The only thing that calms her down (sometimes) is breastfeeding for a little snack and she falls asleep or we’ll bedshare for a nap. But definitely been feeling the exhaustion and sleep deprivation and frustration.
@Candice we haven’t but should!
@Alexandra some do say the C-Section babes are a little more fussy. 🤣
Do you breastfeed? Does baby calm down while nursing? I felt like I nursed non stop the first two weeks, it was the only thing that stopped the crying.
Colic?
We resorted to a dummy and co sleeping as I couldn’t put my baby down af all without her crying. I wish I had tried a swaddle earlier but she’s hated it.
My girl was born 12/8 and we’ve been experiencing the same thing at night. She was doing so well with regular waking to be changed, nurse, get burped and then dad would rock her sometimes if she had trouble, but then she’d crash out again with me (we cosleep)… well the past couple of days it’s like none of that works and she is just so sleepy but either can’t get comfortable or something is keeping her awake. Could be just a phase I guess if we’re all going through it.
@Kristen @Justine My babe also started rolling to her side so we took her out of the swaddle but she’s so restless and kicks constantly. Are your little one’s the same?
@Alexandra mine just started napping on her side so we still use her swaddle but arms out!
@Jenny I do breastfeed - it calms her down but then doesn’t keep her calm (at night). Like last night it was like cluster feeding every hour. Surprised my nipples aren’t chapped up!
@Yyeli totally could be…I guess I just imagined colic to be like all day / night not just nighttime?
@Justine glad I’m not alone although it totally sucks. 💕 Just is exhausting because I feel so helpless! For her and for us.
My first had this issue, also only at night for some reason. We got probiotic drops for her and it stopped after 2 days on them :) I think because breastmilk composition is different at night something in it was giving her belly a hard time. They make probiotic+vitamin D drops too if you don't wanna have to do 2 types of drops since vitamin d is recommended for breastfed babies.

This will sound silly but I went throught the part I needed to relax abit more as my son could pick up on my stress
@Kristen yes! That’s the hard part is I’m just so exhausted! I feel like I look like a zombie right now lol plus allergies hit me so I’m all stuffed up and can’t breathe, I’m like why now?! My toddler has been waking up too during the night so if it’s not one it’s the other. 🥱 can’t wait for some more stretches of sleep at night! This will all pass 🤞
Sometimes baby just cry. I remember with my first son we had this witching hour before bed where he would cry inconsolably for a long time. They do grow out of it. It is tough but doesn’t last forever.
We are going into winter try turning up your thermostat at night. Your house maybe too cold. My little dude will cry at night if he gets too cold. There is a ton of fleece swaddles you can try too.
