@Shanee How long did it take for it to feel better? I also tried to readjust the latch but no matter what it hurts. And oh now that you mention weaning, he might be getting ready for that, which I don’t know if I’m ready for. He is teething and a great eater. He has been slowly weaning, we stopped the night feeds. So he had morning, afternoon and before bed feedings. Then he dropped the afternoon one, and this week, for the past two days, he didn’t need to nurse to sleep, he just laid down in his bed and slept. And mine is on the right side, too. And it’s usually the one he likes the most also. But he might be getting ready to stop nursing. It’s hard, because in my mind breastfeeding puts me in ease, since it is something that can soothe him and nurture him. But I think I gotta get ready.
I feel this to my core!!! Sis it's so much talk about not being able to breastfeed but not enough when it's over. I remember not remembering the last time my daughter nursed. I'm trying to remember every session with my son. Please reach out as I get it.
Yes. I have felt the exact same thing. I nursed my daughter until she was 3.5 years old, and she did this once she was ready to wean. She continued to nurse, but once she realized the nipple was something else besides nourishment, she stopped nursing. Is your son teething? Enjoying food more? Has he done it again? I remember my nipple feeling super raw like her latch wasn't right. I tried adjusting, but she wasn't having it. It was just on my right side, which was her favorite side. She would still go to that side, like kinda telling me, "Stop mom, it's over."
