Teething

Baby is teething and is not sleeping at night! He is just shouting all night. I’ve given calpol, teething powder and not had longer than half an hour sleep at a time. Anyone else!?

My boy is teething too. He’s doing 2 hours of sleep max. He’s not crying too much when he wakes and it seems like he just wants some comfort rather than hunger. I’ve given him some nurofen to see if it helps him sleep for longer but I don’t think it has.

Ibuprofen worked better than Calpol for us

Teething is a tough time for everyone, especially bubs. If they're cutting through then definitely help with calpol and calprofen, otherwise try Anbesol (5+) or Bonjela (6+). You can get other teething gel equivalents of powder (3+), but may not work for everyone. Otherwise just make sure they've got plenty to gnaw at to help - the little finger toothbrush is a good one, especially for applying gels. 😊

I’ve found nurofen works better for teething. And now they are 5 months they can have anbesol teething gel which helps numb it and I’ve found he’s settling much better xx
