Your vet should be able to answer any queries for you. Make sure you keep the Elizabethan collar on him so he can’t get to the area and prolong healing. It’s an operation the vets carry out daily so they have all the answers
Deffo discuss with your vet as if different breed to breed and just dogs personally! I have a German shepherd x border collie, took him about 5-7 days to be back to normal but he had also had a reaction to the pain meds that made him have blood in his sick/stool 😭 but wound wise and moving around wise it was like a day or two!
@Katie have spoken to my vet, however they said that it varies dog to dog and isn’t a set time, so just wondering what other people’s experiences were! X
My Doberman only took a few days to be back to normal, he was more upset by the cone of shame than anything else 😂 I think we were told to wait maybe 10 days to walk him off lead but I can’t remember for certain. Def didn’t really bother him x
