My baby suddenly refuse to take last feed of the night

Hi all, my 3 months old baby has suddenly decided to refuse taking the bottle. She won't suck, just sort of mouths it and then screams, sometimes even to the point of gargling and sounding like she's choking with the bottle in. And we take it out, she screams will more. She’s been really hard to settle for bed at night. We checked the teats size which is fine. Bed time routine has been the same, nothing changed and the naps during the day is fine and pretty consistent. I do notice she is drinking less milk, but I’m fine with it because the wet nappies is the same. Has anyone experienced this? Thank you.

My baby does the same, she’s the same age. I think it’s due to sleep regression. But when she won’t eat what I do is I put her in her carrier and I walk her, literally💀. She doesn’t care for the stroller so it’s the only way that works I walk around the house till she calms down mostly rocking her and usually bc she’s so fussy and screaming she’ll fall asleep for 10 mins and wake up ready to eat properly. Like the schedule we had going it just is like in the water rn we still follow everything the same, bath at 8, and usually she’s down by 9/9:30 but it’s been taking us till 12 to get her down cause she’ll fight her sleep so hard sometimes she doesn’t even fuss just stares at us and only will fuss if we cut all the lights out and try to do bedtime

My baby was doing this and now she’s got a viral infection and a slight fever. I don’t mean to scare you but just be in the look out. She’s also 3 months

My little one is starting to do this too. Apparently they naturally bring their bedtime forward at this age, our last bottle was usually around 9/10pm and now more like 7/8pm x

@Necharia thank you, same! She is fighting so much to the point that she is overtired and then even harder to settle her 🫠 Hopefully it will be over soon.

@Zarah thanks, I just checked her temperature which is fine. 🙏🏻

When my baby was 3 months old I noticed his last feed which is usually around 9/10 became a massive battle. He would slap the bottle away, purse his lips shut, turn his head away .. all I did was skip that feed. He now does 5 bottles a day .. his last bottle is between 7/730pm and I put him down to bed at 8/830 .. I think they are just telling us that they want to sleep earlier now so they can start to do their longer sleeps x

Ensure it’s not bottle aversion considering you said she’s taking less now. There’s a book by Rowena Bennett on bottle aversions
