Reducing supply

Hi mamas please I’m at a crossroad now. My baby is 6weeks, EBF and also feeding through bottle with expressed milk. But I’ve just noticed my milk supply is reducing when I pump. Before I used to get about 6oz from both breast but now I’m getting 2oz after pumping for 30mins. What can I do?

If it’s any consolation your pumped milk isn’t indicator of how much milk you have in there as you’re never fully empty Baby will be getting more You’re also incredibly early on it’ll take time

I feel the same, I use to get 120-150mls per 30mins pump and now I’m only getting 60-90mls.. I was hoping to move on to just expressed bottles.. my baby is 5 weeks

It goes up and down, you have to make sure your are keeping well hydrated and drinking far more than you were prior to pregnancy/ giving birth. Also fatigue can have an effect on your mil supply so try and as hard as it sounds try and get some good sleep, so once baby is down for a nap so are you.

I am the same, I have found the more I pump the less I get! I think it's so hard because when EBF you can't see how much the baby is having. Having spoken with my friend though, she said this was normal for her too and it does increase over time, the baby will always get what they need from the breast and this will signal for future pumps eventually.

At around this time your milk supply regulates. What you're seeing is probably a result of this and reflects your supply matching more what your baby needs rather than being limitless
