Continuously Wakening up Crying

Sorry in advance this is a long one, but I’m sure others can relate and ANY advice is appreciated ⭐️🤍🥺💕 Since born, my 8 month old has been a really good sleeper throughout the night. For the past month, she has been wakening up continuously through the night SCREAMING crying. When I go through to comfort her (pat or rub her back) she falls back asleep, for it to happen again within the hour. This happens until she wakes up in the morning. She falls asleep with her dummy in, and the dummy stays in for the majority of the night, even when she’s crying. For context, she goes down to sleep no bother. When this first began, I started changing her nappy and giving her a bottle, but this then felt unnecessary as she would fall back asleep and the screaming would still continue to happen until the morning. I constantly check the room temperature, we have also changed her nappies to different ones for nighttime and have tried playing white noise/sleeping music gently throughout the whole night. We just can’t figure out the reason for her crying other than complete discomfort.. I am fed up of blaming teething on everything too and I genuinely don’t think that’s the issue 🥺 Any advice or experiences similar? Thank you in advance 💕

We are experiencing very similar! The crying is so uncontrollable and she is screaming/ screeching SO LOUD! She'll only eventually fall asleep when in my arms but I then can't get to put her back down. Every time I put her down it takes so long to settle her again. I'm exhausted. We've ended up co sleeping from 2am-5am most nights for past 3 weeks. She has another bottle at 5am then eventually sleeps till about 7. She never used to wake up for a feed and I don't think she's actually hungry. I've also found throughout the day she is crying more than normal, and even screaming quite a lot. I also keep blaming teething but she has no teeth and tbh I'm not sure it's that at all.

When she was 4months she had a bad cold which turned into an ear infection. The screaming is quite similar to then, but there was signs it was her ears as she would pull at her ears and face so I know it's not that again. I do wonder if it's food related although I can't see a link to what it could be

I’ve had 9 screams tonight.

We had this around 7 months, she would scream inconsolably and nothing we seemed to do helped, I just had to hold and rock her until it stopped all the while sat crying myself most nights as it was awful. We realised she wasn’t actually awake while it was happening but seemed to be in a very deep sleep which it was hard to wake her from, almost like night terrors but they’re far too young for that atm. After lots of research and speaking to some professionals we came to the conclusion it was a developmental thing and part of the separation anxiety phase they go through when they suddenly realise they’re not a part of you/they’re their own little person and you can leave them. We worked a lot on separation through the day and playing games so she knew I always came back and it gradually stopped x

My little girl has been through this for the past two nights she’s either slept through or woke once, no advice and even thought you can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel it does arrive!! Xx

Thank you for all the comments, it’s nice/not nice at the same time to know others are going through the same. We just have no idea what could be causing it x

37 minutes in and we’ve had 2 of these already …
