Little one not getting enough sleep

I absolutely hate our situation right now because she gets the most perfect sleep at the weekend and naps well and everything... and then she goes back to nursery 😭 Tonight she's only getting 7 hours sleep because she got woken up and wouldn't go back to sleep, last week it was 9 every day... but at the weekend it's 12/13 hours. I feel so bad but I just can't let her sleep in during the week because I have to get to work. She's also very grumpy when she isn't getting enough sleep, I thought she was starting her terrible 2s last week because of how horribly she was screaming, but after one good night on Wednesday I noticed all her grumpiness and screaming came from not getting enough sleep. My partner just goes "don't worry, she'll sleep in the day" but she doesn't!! She just sleep 30mins-1h and she's done. Same goes with her food, I keep getting told if she has less milk she'll eat more solids, bur she doesn't!! She's lost so much weight since starting nursery, she used to be my little chubby girl but now she's just average because she isn't having milk or solids 😮‍💨 I'm really at a loss on what to do, I just feel like everything is going wrong, I can't get her to eat or sleep well

Sorry Im not sure I understand, what is the difference in the routine weekend vs midweek except for wake up time? If you keep the wake up time the same every day then does she not go to bed a similar ish time? What is it that woke her up tonight? The short naps are probably caused by over-tiredness, can you cosleep so she will nap longer to help her catch up on sleep and try and break the cycle to help the night sleep? As well as wake up same time everyday

When did she start nursery? My daughter started in September and took her probably about a month to settle in to her routine there.

Babies this age generally need 11-14 hours sleep (naps + longer bedtime sleep) You haven't said when her nursery times are? Does she not nap at nursery? If she can nap an hour at nursery, then bedtime by 8pm latest, and wake at 6am earliest, that's at least a total of 11 hours, and she'll definitely feel loads better and her grumpiness might be less

@CeeCee so at the weekend she can sleep 13 hours at night, 10 at the very least plus her naps are maybe 30mins and 1 hour. At nursery she sleeps 9 hours at night, last night it was 7. She naps 30mins and then crashes on her way home at 6pm, but she then wakes up 1 or 2 hours later and stays up for 3 hours, causing her to only sleep little hours at night. I do co-sleep some naps, but I also leave her some naps. At nursery she's patted and she goes to sleep well but wakes up after half an hour and she won't go back to sleep. They call the the half an hour napper because she's so on point with it She's been at nursery since end of August

@Aimèe she started end of August, I think half an hour naps is the routine she's adopted for nursery 🤦🏼‍♀️

@Cassie I wake her up at 7am, she goes to nursery at 8am and then she's out at 6pm. She does nap at nursery but it's literally 30mins and they can't get her to sleep longer or have another nap, she just won't allow it 🤦🏼‍♀️ She crashes on the way home and then wakes up 1 or 2 hours later, then she stays awake for 3 hours. I've tried keeping her asleep after nursery but it only worked once after a week of horrible sleep

My daughter only ever sleeps 30-45 minutes for her naps. What time is she finishing nursery and going to bed? My daughter wakes from her around 3, I pick her up at half past and then she's usually asleep for the night around 6-6:30 x

My boy is the same! Sometimes 'napping' at 7pm and then will wake up at 9pm. He then won't sleep until 12. So at weekends this isn't too bad because we can let him sleep in until 9/10am, but on nursery days (he does 4 full days) I have to wake him at 7am. I don't know what to do to change this routine xx

Ah okay I see what you mean 😭😭
