Cot bed
Hi there,
My soon to be 6 month old seems to be getting too big for his next to me crib.
I wanted some advice on a few things:
1. What cots would you recommend
2. Is there any ways/cots which can have one side down and attach side to side onto our big bed?
(Feeling worried that it will be tricky getting him in and out of a cot when he keeps waking 4-5 times a night)

Next to me forever can be used upto 4 years old. We've been using it and it's really good

@Fatima just be aware that the mattresses need to be next to each other so touching. It’s generally recommended to get a pool noodle to put in the gap between the mattress and the cot and then put the cot sheet over them as well as the mattress. There is a great UK Co-Sleepers group that has lots of information about how to side car a cot if you want more info ☺️

Yes it’s possible we have that set up - you ideally want a cot that can be a toddler bed as the sides are easier to remove. You can get space saver ones that are smaller. You might need to raise the cot up a bit as the mattress must be level to yours to reduce any suffocation risk. We just have some wood underneath and then the cot is ratchet strapped to our bed so it can’t move anywhere. We have had the cot in use since little one was 5 months. I don’t regret it at all as we have only just in the last week reduced how much we wake to 2-3 times a night so it’s been a lifesaver not having to get out of bed each time he wakes. Get more sleep this way ☺️
