Formula feeding.

My baby girl is 14 weeks and she drinks 6oz every 4 hours during the day. Is this okay? When it comes to night feeds, do I wake her up for a bottle? For example, tonight she had a bottle at 22:20 and she’ll probably sleep through until 5-6. Do I let her sleep or do i wake her at 2am for a bottle?

This sounds ok to me. Have you checked the recommended feeding guide on the formula pack you are using to see how much it says she should be having for her age/weight? Obviously this is just a general recommendation and your little one may drink more or less, but as a general guide, if she is having that amount roughly during the day, then you don't need to wake her in the night, unless there are concerns regarding weight gain or dehydration etc.

Agree with the above, but also going to add another metric guide: From 3 to 6 months old, if baby is roughly having 120ml per kg of their weight per day then you are fine and I definitely wouldn’t wake my baby. Based on assumed feeding times of 6am, 10am, 2pm, 6pm and 10pm then your baby is having 30oz of milk which is about 850ml so if your baby weighs around 7kg (= 850ml / 120ml) or less then she is getting enough formula 👍 Even if she weighs a bit more, as long as she’s steadily gaining weight then I also wouldn’t wake her. I wish my 12 week old would sleep for more than 4 hour stretches! 😃

My baby is exactly the same I let him sleep through the night as he drinks enough in the day enjoy ur nights peace. That's about 30oz a day which is plenty x

My LO sleeps from 10.30 till about 6/6.30 everyday and is having around 30oz a day 5oz every 3 hours in the day

My second baby is the same. He used to feed loads during the day and sleep through till about 6 and then have a 6/7oz of milk. Never bothered to wake him. Just took the advantage of sleep
