Following this for my 4 week old as we do the same - sometimes we have to wake him and then I feel like trying to get him back to sleep is a nightmare because we’ve disturbed him! Doesn’t happen all the time and sometimes he wakes after 3/4hours, but would love to know what other people are doing!
I’d leave them to wake when hungry if above birth weight & growing nicely. I’d maybe set an alarm to check on them after 5hours or so though. I do it with my 5 week old however she does not bless me with 6 hours!😅 4-5oz every 2.5-4hrs. Jealous!
@Scarlet 🤍 my baby’s the same sometimes she gets up to 6 hours and I wake her but then some nights we only get 2 hour stints. But the same, trying to get her back down can take hours and I regret waking her ahaha
As long as he's a good healthy weight id leave it :) x
It took him 2+ weeks to regain birth weight as I was ebf but his tongue tie was undetected. Since then we’ve been combi feeding with expressed milk and formula to ensure he’s getting enough. He’s tracking well now but I’m nervous to let him go 6+ hours without a feed. Sometimes in the day he’ll nap long and not feed as much but I try to keep him on at least 24oz every 24hours
@Ash it’s hard isn’t it!! I want to let him sleep but I’m also scared just in case his blood sugars drop or something!
Let them sleep. They will wake up when hungry
I leave my daughter to sleep and she will wake up when she's hungry. She can go 6/7 hours
My little girl is 8 weeks old today and I let her sleep all night. Sometimes she sleeps 8-9 hours and the HV said it’s fine she will wake when she’s hungry c
How are you able to be getting 6 hours! My 5 week old takes 5oz every 2&half 3 hours!
