Yes. The 1st few months I felt so much guilt because his behaviour changed so much and I felt like he was really struggling. But she's 4 months now and he's come round to her a lot more and seems to have so much love for her so I feel less guilty. Also it's not possible for everyone but I occasionally leave baby with her dad and have a 1 to 1 day with him and he absolutely loves it and his behaviour is so much better after those days.. it's only a few hours usually but he seems to appreciate it and always comes back to give his sister a cuddle. It gets easier anyway
So glad to read this - I have a 4 week old and my April 22 ‘baby’ is so affectionate to his sister but really struggling with big emotions and having to share me. I’m so glad it gets easier as baby gets older ☺️
We found our April baby reacted because he wanted to help but didn’t know how, he wasn’t quite 2 then. We just reassured him a lot that it was ok, it was normal and we were sorting it
