How do I reduce the flow/letdown of one of my breasts?

My LO is 12 weeks old and has recently not been able to feed on my left breast because the flow and let down is too heavy. He starts moving like crazy, panicking and crying, I have to switch him over to the right side all the time. Any suggestions on how to ease my flow? I should mention, he’s EBF

following my lo is the same she starts coughing and panicking but my let down is fast on both sides so switching her doesn’t make a difference xx

Hand express first

@Harriet I do hand express first and I use a hakkaa ladybug as well. Makes no difference

Aww that’s a shame x I’m going through my own struggles too!!!

I always had to pump one side to get some milk out it eventually sorted it self out. But if he won’t feed on one side I’d pump the other side for comfort so you don’t get mastitis

You could also try side lying when you feed on that side. I found that helped idk if it was because the milk wasn’t coming straight down and out but we did have luck with that

Which collectors are most helpful for you guys ? I got one on Amazon but I have issues using it a lot of the time — plus the worst letdown I have is completely random - I’ll be doing something (not even like he’s crying or. Hungry) and suddenly my whole clothes & anything in vicinity- not just my shirt) is soaked 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️it happens several times. A day

I read on la Leche League to express a bit before a feed and then feed then- so your boobs don't start making even more but it helps baby with slightly less milk being in the boob. Sometimes this works and sometimes I don't have time to express before but it can help moderate your supply
