At that age it's quite normal to only want to contact nap. We went through this too. A lot of people do. Is it possible to just buckle down and lean into contact napping for a few weeks? Even if it's only once a day. It will likely pass on its own, just keep trying the crib for at least one nap and be consistent with the routine. It will take.
Sleep regression happens at 4 months. If she sleeps with a thick blanket she might be cold. You can always try a fleece or a quilted swaddle sack to provide more warmth. Some babies are just cold.
@Melissa hey! The issue isn’t contact napping, I love contacting napping…she will sleep on her pillow solo, I just want to practice the safest method which I know is either contact napping or crib, bassinet, or pack & play vs her boppi pillow.
@Justice hey, I just switched her to the sleep sack because there was signs of rolling. I only use the sleep sack at night as part of her bedtime routine. I wouldn’t say she’s encountering a sleep regression too because she gets her rest, just doesn’t rest in the safest choice.
I would personally keep trying to crib / bassinet (if she still fits it) / pack n play, etc, and use contact naps to get at least one good nap in a day in the meantime. It may take some time for the crib to work, but if you're consistent and keep trying, it will! For us she just sorted it out one day and started sleeping there. We didn't have to do anything special. But I believe that the fact we kept trying it, and she learned that if she woke up there and cried, we would come, those things helped her realize that it was a safe place to sleep. Hopefully you reach the end of this soon, but it really is likely just a phase that will last a few weeks at most. 🤞
You’re not alone. I wish I could help but I too am experiencing this. I hope someone provides a suggestion.
